Quiche Recipes
1. Mushroom & Chicken Quiche - Halal
Ingredients
Pastry: 135 g plain flour
125 g Mascarpone Cream Cheese by Cream of Creams
125 g Butter
Filling: 250 g chopped chicken
15 g Butter
200 g Fresh button mushrooms OR from Can
(wash/rinse can mushrooms 3 times, 1 time in water with
some lemon, to take off the typical ‘can’ taste)
3 pc eggs
375 ml Halal Cooking Cream by cream of creams
1 tbsp Lemon juice
3 tbsp Parmesan cheese (grated)
½ Tsp mustard powder
½ Tsp salt
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
½ Tsp mixed dried herbs
Process for pastry
Mix all ingredients to a soft pastry and press into Quiche base
Process for filling
Fry chicken until brownish
Remove and keep aside.
Add butter to rendered fat
Add mushrooms and sauté.
Spoon chicken and mushroom on the base.
Beat eggs, ‘Cooking Cream’ and lemon juice together.
Add Parmesan cheese and seasoning
Pour onto base
Baking
In a preheated oven at 160 C for 45 minutes
